Our organization is currently seeking a Direct Support Professional to work with adults who have intellectual and developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for helping others and be capable of initiating positive relationships with our clients. The successful candidate will also thrive on building structured daily routines, performing direct care tasks, and supporting our clients' personal growth.

Responsibilities:

• Respond quickly to the needs of the support recipient and provide assistance in a timely manner.

• Answer questions from individuals receiving support and members of their community.

• Assist recipients in completing paperwork and maintain confidentiality.

• Deal with unpleasant situations.

• Address concerns or complaints of individuals receiving support.

• Provide personal care when needed.

• Provide support while traveling.

• Provide direct support service to individuals with developmental disabilities

• Be aware of local resources and transportation systems.

• Provide encouragement to individuals receiving support.

 

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
